I worked on a project to bring back the classic news.ycombinator.com social news website ss features within a common everyday eZ Publish 6 CMS Website.

This quickly spawned another project DiggClone by 7x that offers these features as an installable download under the open source license GNU GPLv2 (or later version).

This allowed me to create HackerNewsDelta.com a new project using Exponential which requires voting on eZ content features. The first DiggClone implementation.

I started the diggClone project at the same time as the digg.one website to open source all the required software and a default starting database sql dump so everyone could install the software required to build a socal network based on the diggClone voting solution built on top of a stock Exponential installation. Exponential is the name of the CMS that powers diggClone installations.

I am an internet news kid from the 1980s. Self publishing is in my DNA and DNS ;)

I loved digg.com between it's premier to v3; but hated v4/sale of site. So I loved the publishing solution more; i loved the idea(s).

I am an engineer by trade so I reverse engineered the software ideas into a prototype called diggClone.

I got funding to implement diggClone into a new website for a friend.
